Shaving Cream Backgrounds
SUPPLIES: This is really a forgiving form of stamping..you don't have to have the paticulars & it still works great. Ok, now take your shave cream & put an ample supply onto a flat surface.. Once you have done this...smooth it out some with your spatula (so you don't just have a HIGH pile of stuff). Now...take your reinkers and put a few drops into the cream. (Again...this will depend on how much shaving cream you have squirted). Now that you've done this...take your toothpick (or fork handle....or knife...or whatever you grabbed)...then swirl the reinkers through the cream. This gives it a great design. Side note: I usually do my reinkers seperately. I do my "darkest color first & then come back with my lightest color - this just gives me the opportunity to use my "darkest" color longer & if I see I need more of the light stuff to fill in - then I just replace the cs & go again).... OK, back to the tech. Now that you have your ink swirled through your cream...take a piece of your cs (note: I normally cut mine in 1/4 sheets & use it to layer...) & squish it into the shave cream... Put your hand in the middle & squish to the outside...making sure you have a good coverage. Picking up the cs...scrape the shave cream off with our spatula & then wipe dry with a paper towel. I normally will run about 20 of these at a time...before I scrape & dry....it's just faster. Copyright Lora Robinson 2001 lovinulord@wwdb.org
