Opals Embossing Enamels
(Manufacturer Pipe DreamInk  http://www.pipedreamink.com/)

Try filling the Krafty Lady Art Mould with the unmelted Opals...tamp it down gently with something, then bake mould and all in a 300 degree (F) oven. It won't hurt the mould and the opals will melt nicely. I've done this several times and been fairly happy with my results. If you get some air bubbles, pop them with a needle. You can remelt in the oven if needed. I've also baked translucent liquid sculpy in the moulds in an oven...had GREAT success with that!

I've had problems with my melting pot not getting hot enough to melt the opals fully. That's not a problem with the opals, its a problem with the melting pot not made to get hot enough. So I went to baking the moulds in my toaster oven to melt things better.

I also came up with another method. You can take a melting pot project pan, fill it with the Opals....then set it in the toaster oven (at 300 degrees F). The opals melt beautifully this way and you can pour it into a mould. The project pan does get hot this way....so I use this big old honkin' bent needle nose plyer things I got out of my hubby's tool stash to remove the project pan from the oven and pour with it.
