ColorBox Stylus

Tyra Cloud9@netnet.net
it's nothing more than a sponge on a stick. You can tap the stylus on ink pads (dye or pigment ink)...then tap on paper..makes cool backgrounds. You can use them with paints and inks....and glues...and heck, just whatever it is that you normally sponge.

The black foam tips work like penscore. You heat up the black sponge tip under a 75 or 100 watt lightbulb, press it onto something then lift it up...whatever you pressed it to is imprinted on the black foam tip...then you can sponge with whatever medium you are working with for a "textured" look. Let's say you have a big floral stamp with leaves and flowers. Hot up that little black sponge tip...press it on JUST the flower part of the rubber stamp..now you have a "reverse" image of the stamp you can sponge with. OK..you don't want that flower on your sponge tip? Hot it up again and it goes away, ready to be used again... :-) Why would ANYONE want a stylus kit when you can just use a sponge and penscore? Because you will use the stylus kit MORE often. The stylus is a form you are MOST used to...it's like a pencil. Plus, you don't end up getting getting the paint or ink on your fingers. Ohh and they work nicely for radiant pearls if you like those.

I have a stylus tool kit and I LOVE it. It's MORE than worth the price, which is pretty reasonable anyway. It's also GREAT for DTP techniques (direct to paper).
