Cloisonne

Janet: StampNCat@hotmail.com
My daughter decorated a bottle the other day. She put some wonder tape (I think that's what that ultra double-edged tape is called) around part of an old bottle. she dipped it in Cloisonne. She melted it. She dipped again, and melted again. She dipped again , and melted again. Then, while very hot, she took some charms and put them where she wanted them. When it cooled down, the charms were attached. Then she filled the bottle with a little black sand, some water, a plastic mini palm tree, and put a cork in the bottle. She put it on the bookcase to surprise me when I came home from work. And I decorated a tin the other day. I put some to that tape on the top of an Altoid. I must have melted it three or four times. (You have to heat it three times [at least, they say] for maximum look. And then I added the charms I wanted. It made a nice gift for her home school coordinator (the person who does all the paperwork for the state).
