Photo Transfers
Photo taken with an Olympus C-700 Ultra Zoom digital camera, printed on Office Depot brand Glossy Photo Paper, using a Canon PIXMA iP6600D photo printer.

Original Photo - I accidentally drug my hand very hard across it and the ink "rolled up", like it was a film of some type.

Reprinted the photo smaller (about 1.5x2.0 inches), leaving some unprinted space around it.

Cut a piece of cold laminate slightly larger than the smaller photo I reprinted, pressed the cold laminate to it and burnished it VERY well. Let it sit about 5 minutes, burnished it again...the pulled the cold laminate off the photo. As you can see, it effectively lifted the ink off the photo, creating a photo transfer on the cold laminate. The inks are translucent, so this was scanned against a white background. You can also see where the "ink film" broke on the water tube while I was lifting the cold laminate. Its a bit putzy, but does seem to have potential!

This is the photo itself, AFTER I lifted the ink off of it. You can see that the ink does stain the photo paper, so you end up with a by-product that looks like a very old faded photo, somewhat vintage in appearance.
