Beads

when you spill a thing of beads (haven't we all?) put a stocking over the end of your vacuum cleaner hose, with a little slack, so it will suck up the hose a bit, then vacuum. the stocking will catch all the beeads, and you can dump them into a box or whatever. What this won't do, unfortunately, is sort them out for you again.

Attaching beads to cards huh??? I've done this a time or two, goes GREAT with the Native American theme stuff. Usually you can either glue them on, use the no hole beads you can get at a craft store...lay down a thin layer of glue...pour on the beds, gently press in place. Also, you can use the small seed beeds...I like to make a string of them.....and just poke it thru the cardstock (with a needle) and glue the string on the back. Maybe push a small feather into the bottom of the string of beads and let the entire thing dangle from the card front. If you use feathers in your artwork...I take small pheasant feathers....gently push the seed beeds on the shank of feather...small tab of glue at the end to hold the beads on securely....then glue the feather on the card... that's just a few things I do with beads.

If the bead is large enough and the ribbon small enough, thread the ribbon through the bead, and tie a small knot in the ribbon on either side of the bead to hold it in place. If the ribbon won't fit through the bead, either use a dab of glue or use a needle and thread and stitch it in place. (The glue I like for this is JEWEL IT by Aleene)

Glass Beads in Amazing Glaze/3-D Crystal Lacquer Apply two layers of Amazing Glaze to a 2 x 2 inch cardstock square. While the glaze is still warm, sprinkle in fuchsia beads. Add another layer of Glaze then sprinkle on silver beads. As a final accent drop in a seashell. Heat the shell and lightly sprinkle Aegean Silver embossing powder over it.
